Barcelona Boat Show 2026: The Mediterranean’s Major Nautical Event at Port Vell
Salón Náutico Barcelona 2025
Barcelona will once again put the sea at the heart of its autumn calendar. From 14 to 18 October 2026, Port Vell will host a new edition of the Barcelona International Boat Show, one of Southern Europe’s leading nautical events, bringing together professionals, enthusiasts and visitors interested in sailing and life at sea.
Over five days, the event will feature more than 130 boats on the water, over 200 brands and exhibitors and representatives from 19 countries. Sailing yachts, catamarans, motor yachts and boats will share the stage with technology, nautical destinations, water sports, gastronomy and new experiences designed also for those discovering this world for the first time.
Barcelona International Boat Show 2026: Dates, Location and What’s New
Port Vell will once again provide the setting for the Boat Show, with the exhibition mainly spread across Moll de la Fusta and Marina Port Vell. The event will run from Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 October, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, except on Friday 16, when Nit Nàutica will extend the programme until 10:00 pm.
The 2026 edition also expands its offering around four ways of experiencing the event: see, try, discover and enjoy. The floating exhibition remains at its heart, joined by sailing activities, water sports, diving, Mediterranean destinations, gastronomy and music, taking the Boat Show beyond its strictly professional side.
More Than 130 Boats to Discover from the Inside
The floating exhibition remains the heart of the event. More than 130 boats will be moored at Port Vell, ranging from sailing yachts and large catamarans to motor yachts, boats and inflatable craft from some of the leading names in the international nautical industry.
One of the distinctive features of the Boat Show is the chance to get close to many of these vessels and discover them from the inside: walk across a deck, step down into a cabin or see how their different spaces are designed. For those familiar with the industry, it is an opportunity to compare models and new launches; for the general public, it offers a much closer look at what a boat is really like beyond the dock or a screen.
Moll de la Fusta and Marina Port Vell
The exhibition will be divided between two areas. At Moll de la Fusta, just a few metres from Las Ramblas, the focus will mainly be on motor yachts, boats, power boats and inflatable craft, while Marina Port Vell will host sailing yachts, large catamarans and some of the longest vessels at the show.
During those days, both docks will form a nautical route integrated into Barcelona’s waterfront, with the boats becoming part of the Port Vell landscape.
Sea Motion: A New Way to Connect with the Sea
One of the main new features for 2026 will be Sea Motion, an area designed to bring the nautical world closer to those with no previous experience. The concept brings together marinas and destinations, water sports, sailing, diving, schools and federations, offering different entry points into a world that can sometimes seem reserved only for experienced sailors.
Water Experience, Sailing and Water Sports
Water Experience will take part of the action directly onto the water, with surfing and dinghy sailing demonstrations, products, gadgets and different activities designed to move from watching to trying. The Federació Catalana de Vela will also organise activities for both enthusiasts and beginners.
Among the new features announced is the presentation in Barcelona of an electric jet ski, within an area that connects sport, innovation and new ways of enjoying the sea.
Diving Returns to the Barcelona Boat Show
After several years away, diving returns to the Boat Show with a dedicated diving area. National and international diving destinations, schools, introductory workshops and technical equipment will give both experienced divers and first-timers the opportunity to discover the activity.
The Boat Show therefore expands its perspective to another way of exploring the Mediterranean, this time below the surface.
More Than 250 Marinas and Nautical Destinations
Sea Motion will also bring together more than 250 marinas from Spain and Italy in an area dedicated to nautical destinations, berths and different ways of sailing around the Mediterranean.
Visitors will be able to discover new destinations, learn how yacht charter works and find answers about the different options available for enjoying sailing without needing to own a boat.
The Barcelona Boat Show Goes Beyond the Boats
The 2026 edition introduces gastronomy, music and new spaces designed to extend the visit beyond the exhibition itself. Among the new additions will be a Village with a restaurant overlooking Port Vell and the boats, accompanied by more informal dining options throughout the venue.
The collaboration with Blaumarí will further strengthen the relationship between music, culture and the sea. One of the special moments will arrive on Friday 16 with Nit Nàutica, when opening hours will be extended until 10:00 pm and the atmosphere of the Boat Show will continue into sunset and the evening.
After the Barcelona Boat Show, Velissima
From Port Vell to Puerto Marina Vela, the sea continues to shape the route. After a day spent among boats, new launches and nautical destinations, Velissima Barcelona offers another setting from which to enjoy the harbour, this time through Italian cuisine, its terrace and music.
An aperitivo can lead into dinner with pasta, fish and dishes made for sharing overlooking Puerto Marina Vela. During dinner, La Famiglia Marinelli accompanies the atmosphere with its performances and, especially at weekends, the music continues afterwards with a DJ.
